IWI conducts and communicates research to inspire public dialogue, shape policy, and improve the lives and opportunities of women of diverse backgrounds, circumstances, and experiences.

As an organisation which is run 100% by volunteers, we are looking for staff who can help grow IWI while ensuring we remain true to our mission and goals. All positions are performed remotely.

open position — publicist.

As a Publicist for IWI you will oversee our public image and manage all media relations as well as coordinate publicity events. Other responsibilities include writing press releases, releasing statements and interjecting the points of IWI staff into relevant media coverage. In addition, you will also field questions and act as a liaison between IWI and the general public, as well as generate publicity by reaching out to media.


  • Minimum of 3 years experience in public relations with demonstrated success

  • Analytical and creative thinking

  • Organisational ability to manage multiple projects, often to tight deadlines

  • Creative innovative approach for getting a message across

  • Strong interpersonal skills as you will be working with a range of team members

The Director of Events will produce and manage the events of IWI from conception through to completion. You will supervise your staff through the planning and implementation of each event, while organising memorable experiences that meet quality expectations. This position will provide crucial support to the organisation to ensure the effective operations of the events team, and IWI at a time of high growth. As the goal for IWI is to empower women, the Director of Events will work to raise funds to ensure opportunities to aid are not missed. Must be London based.


  • Proven event management experience

IWI is looking for a Director of Fundraising to join our team in an exciting time of organisational growth and development. The role will lead a small and dedicated team of fundraisers to provide the necessary vision, leadership needed to reach targets.


  • Substantial fundraising and management experience within a NGO

  • A proven track record in securing funds from statutory sources, foundations, trusts and major donors

  • Experience in development of an individual donor programme including donor marketing is also an advantage

Working as an assistant to Founder and Executive Director Aubrey Shayler, this role will provide personalised secretarial and administrative support in a well-organised and timely manner. You will work on a one-to-one basis on a variety of tasks related to executive’s working life and communication. You will need to be able to act proactively and with minimal guidance once training is complete. 


  • Experience of working at Executive Assistant level with senior management and comfortable working autonomously and across multiple tasks

  • Experience in a non-profit and the ability to manage complex and highly confidential information

  • Excellent social skills, able to operate with diplomacy, tact and empathy

  • A high degree of personal organisation, ability to multitask, self-management and is comfortable with deadlines
