Become an Ambassador

IWI seeks Ambassadors to help promote our work. As an IWI Ambassador you will work within your immediate community and sphere of influence to raise the visibility of IWI and facilitate our mission.

IWI Ambassadors will be individuals that are active within either their personal or professional lives. They are those who are active within their communities and within a network that will allow them to promote and help IWI grow. 

why.

The use of IWI Ambassadors allow IWI to successfully tap into the energy of an Ambassador’s personal and professional surroundings, and in the process, help drive fundraising, bolster recruitment efforts, and positively engage new online communities. 

 

who.

IWI Ambassadors will be individuals that are active within either their personal or professional lives. They are those who are active within their communities and within a network that will allow them to promote and help IWI grow. 

Pursuing duties that play to your own individual strengths and abilities, as an IWI Ambassador, you will work to advance the common good of women both local and globally through the framework provided by IWI. By becoming an Ambassador, you will be the key to reaching new audiences, to developing an authentic, trusted voice to IWI, and to showing the world an inside view of the amazing work we are doing. 

how.

  • Inform IWI of the issues, challenges and opportunities that are unique to the women in your community in which they live

  • Attend local events as a representative of IWI and distribute materials as appropriate 

  • Network within your local community to identify non-profit organisations that are providing services which aid women in realising their basic human rights for the purpose of IWI contributing 

  • Provide information to IWI regarding local non-profit organisations and their innovations and successes that might be encouraged and duplicated elsewhere globally 

  • Be a source of information regarding potential funders including leadership givers, corporate supporters, and foundations or grants 

  • Identify and liaise with businesses in your area that might be interested in supporting IWI through sponsorship of events, volunteerism or a workplace giving campaign 

  • Assist with and promote IWI events, including fundraising and cultivation events
